Accident streak involving 5 vehicles occurred in the Senayan Roundabout, South Jakarta. Residents said that when the incident occurred, they heard a very loud crash.
“Listen up, ‘but‘ that’s it. (Road conditions) when the traffic light is red. It’s a red light ahead brakebecause the rear red light here crash,” said Rudi in the Senayan Roundabout area, South Jakarta, Sunday (19/3/2023).
Rudi said, when the incident occurred, it was seen that several police officers immediately came to the location. Police immediately evacuated the vehicle involved in the accident.
“Yes, after the incident, many police came. The traffic jam was finally managed by the police. Fast (evacuation), less than half an hour Already smooth again (traffic),” he said.
Meanwhile, another resident, Sutiar (54), also heard a loud noise when the accident occurred. Sutiar admitted that he was near the location, but did not see the incident directly.
“Yes (again around the accident site). Yes just just listen to the sound, it’s loud,” said Sutiar.
After the pile-up occurred, Sutiar admitted that he saw firsthand the condition of the car involved in the accident. He said traffic was stalled at the time of the incident.
“(The time of the accident) 10.00 WIB passed little. Yes stuck sih,” said Sutir.
Sutiar said five cars were involved in a series of accidents.
“Yes (five). Another red light,” he said.
Accident Streak
A series of accidents occurred in the Senayan Roundabout, South Jakarta. This series of accidents involving 5 vehicles.
“There was a consecutive collision of 5 vehicles around the Senayan Roundabout, South Jakarta,” wrote the TMC Polda Metro Twitter account, Sunday (19/3).
The traffic situation was reported to be stagnant. Drivers are asked to maintain a safe distance.
“The traffic situation is congested, for motorists to keep a safe distance from your vehicle,” wrote TMC.
Separate, officer call center NTMC said it was not yet known what caused the successive accidents. The accident is currently being handled by officers.
“Officers are there to handle it,” he said.
