CIAMPEA – One resident of Cinangka Village, Ciampea Sub-district died of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD). The local health center carried out fogging to eradicate mosquito larvae.

The head of the Pasir Puskesmas Dr. Rika Sandra said that every year there were always dengue fever cases, but this year the number of cases increased quite a bit.

“Epidemiological investigations (PE) for mosquito larvae examinations were carried out and also yesterday we did fogging,” he said to Online Experts, Monday (14/3/2022).

He said, the case of dengue fever this year is very high, of course, socialization to the community will continue to be increased in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

“For this year, in Tegal Village, Warung 5, Cinangka 5 and Bojong Jengkol 1, there is an increase in cases, last year there were only 2 people, now it has increased from early January to March,” he explained.

He said, when doing fogging activities, the environmental conditions looked unsanitary and even many houses were empty, causing mosquito larvae to breed.

“Indeed, the condition is a lot of tall grass, empty houses cause mosquitoes to breed, of course, environmental cleaning must be done,” he concluded. FIR
