Residents burn Ukrainian prisoners of war in New York

The Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament – Ed.), Dmytro Lubinets, described another war crime committed by the Russians – shooting of unarmed Ukrainian soldiers in New York in the Donetsk region.

The ombudsman wrote this on the Telegram channel, reports Ukrinform.

“Recently, videos of alleged shootings and killings of surrendering Ukrainian soldiers by the Russian army have appeared on social networks. Today another video appeared on the Internet showing that the residents of the Donetsk region may have been unarmed Ukrainian soldiers,” said Lubinets.

The Human Rights Commissioner called on the international community to document these violations of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War and international law.

As reported by Ukrinform, a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said that Russian military commanders approved the execution of surrendered Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters.
