The emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in Gjerdrum.
East 110 Central reported a fire in a detached house in Gjerdrum shortly after 01:00.
– We have arrived at the scene, there is a full fire in the home, they write.
Police print out. The fire brigade has started extinguishing.
Only shortly before 0430, 110 reported that they had the fire under control after demanding extinguishing work.
– It was complicated to get to because of the construction of the building, says duty manager Leif Høyland in 110 Øst to VG at 05.00.
External extinguishing is only powered. Extinguishing is ongoing and will continue for a few hours.
Høyland can neither confirm nor deny whether there were people in the home.
Operations manager at East police district Joakim Ormaasen told VG earlier last night that 110 was notified by a neighbour, who in turn notified the police.
He stated that the conditions were too difficult for smoke divers to enter the building.
