Although Capcom has recently been silent about the eighth episode of the Resident Evil series, subtitled Village, we learn about the game’s new information through leaks, virtually all of which come from the same source – the hacker attack on Capcom in early November. This time, however, we will deal with something else.
As you probably know, Resident Evil Village was originally announced on the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, but in September at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom developers said they were working hard on a version for last-generation consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox. One, they could not promise these versions yet. At the moment, they seem to have a good reason. A screenshot from the website of the Brazilian rating commission has appeared on the Internet, and from it we can read absolutely clear information – Resident Evil Village is aimed only at PCs and consoles of the new generation. Fans might have been upset a few days ago, but because of the outcome of the old Cyberpunk 2077 consoles, they end up responding with gratitude. We’ll see if the PS4 and Xbox One versions do not appear later, but there is no indication at the moment.
It is still true that the game will be released next year, the exact release date is not known, but according to leaks it looks like May. We should also look forward to the demo version a few weeks before the release, as in the case of RE2 and RE3. Unfortunately, as we have recently they wrote, all cutscenes have already leaked to the internet, including the very end, so be extremely careful if you do not want to spoil your game experience. Finally, I’m adding the second and so far last trailer released. If you can’t wait for more official information directly from Capcom, it should reportedly come in January, potentially at an event from Sony. Both available trailers at Resident Evil Village were shown for the first time at events dedicated to the PlayStation.
