As you can see from the title itself, this article contains spoilers for Resident Evil 4 Remake. If you haven’t finished it yet and don’t want to spoil the experience, don’t continue reading and come back to the article later.
The eagerly awaited Resident Evil 4 Remake is finally out, and fans of the series are starting to speculate as to how Capcom will continue with the remakes of the older parts. Until now, it was believed that the Japanese developers would finally return to the popular Code Veronica, or make a second remake of the first part. However, now it looks like they will be taking a different route and continuing chronologically. It is indicated by several references in the remake of the four.
But let’s start with something related to RE4 itself. Namely, data miners revealed, that there is a folder called Another Order hidden in the files. Which is the Japanese version of the DLC title for the fourth Resident Evil, which is better known to the world as Separate Ways, and in which we play as Ada Wong. If you’ve already finished the game, you know that Ada plays a pretty significant role in it, and with some changes, the developers have clearly prepared the ground for this expansion, which is said to undergo significant changes and arrive later as paid DLC. We don’t know yet if it will be this year.
But now to the main news, Albert Wesker appears at the end of the game, essentially the main villain of the whole series, who, by the way, appeared for the first time in a game powered by the RE Engine, so we can see his new model. But the most interesting thing is the reflection in Wesker’s iconic glasses in the final scene. We can see several photos on it, but only three are clear.
Both photos on the borders are the same, it should be a garden where the flowers known as the Starway of the Sun grow. The location where it basically all started, because it was from this plant that the Progenitor virus was created. In the middle photo we can see Excella Gionne.
What do all the photos have in common? It alludes to Resident Evil 5. You see the garden directly in the game and Excella is one of the main negative characters. Plus, the whole scene with Wesker in the RE4 remake kind of set the stage for his ultimate plan to take over the whole world.
So from all this, it can be concluded that the next remake will very likely be Resident Evil 5. Is this the right decision? How will Capcom handle co-op, which is absolutely key to this game? You can share your opinion in the comments.
