The length of the Resident Evil 4 campaign can be quite long, judging by the trophy included in the remake, which can only be unlocked by beating the game in less than eight hours. Does this seem small to you? That’s not the case at all, and insider Dusk Golem explained why.
A very similar trophy is also featured in other parts of the Capcom series: the Resident Evil 7 trophy can be unlocked by completing the campaign in less than four hours, the Resident Evil 3 trophy in less than two hours, and the Resident Evil Village trophy is unlocked by completing it in less than three hours, three o’clock.
Therefore, if we want to compare these values, it is possible that the story of Resident Evil 4 will take us about twice as long as the story of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, which lasted an average of ten hours.
Considering that, according to the developers, the duration of the Resident Evil 4 remake will be identical to the original, that is, from fifteen to twenty hours, the answer is yes. Especially when you consider that in the seventh chapter there were cut-scenes that could not be missed.
