It looks like Resident Evil 4 fans aren’t thrilled about the game being unveiled at the latest PlayStation Showcase event. Many were upset that there was no information about Ada Wong’s Separate Ways campaign. The Resident Evil 4 remake came out earlier this year to rave reviews, but not without criticism.
Most of the criticism of the remake was due to the lack of game modes that were in previous versions. The original Resident Evil 4 had Assignment Ada and Mercenaries at launch, while the PS2 re-release added the popular Separate Ways campaign. While Assignment Ada has been added to the remake, Assignment Ada and Separate Ways are still missing.
Some Resident Evil fans were hoping to get news about the Separate Ways DLC at the PlayStation Showcase, but despite Resident Evil 4 being shown at the show, not a word was said about Ada Wong’s adventure. Instead, the focus has been on the VR mode, which looks impressive but still doesn’t have a firm release date. Disgruntled Resident Evil fans, frustrated by the lack of Separate Ways at the PlayStation Showcase, were enough for the “Separate Ways” trend to appear on Twitter shortly after the conclusion of the PlayStation Showcase.
There is some information that Separate Ways will be added to the remake in future updates or DLC, but nothing official has been announced by Capcom.
