Resident escapes from window in Velp house fire | Rheden

The emergency services were alerted to the fire on Graaf Ottostraat around 2.30 am. When the fire brigade arrived with several fire vehicles, the resident had already left his house through a window. He then managed to get onto the porch, where he was removed by the fire brigade with a ladder. He was then checked by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

The fire started in the kitchen of unknown cause. A lot of smoke was released during the fire, the house is currently uninhabitable. The nighttime fire drew quite a few attention from the neighborhood.
