Issue reshuffle or shake the cabinet again blows after the DPR RI Plenary Session approves the merger of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Ministry of Education and Culture) with the Ministry of Research and Technology (Ministry of Research and Technology). The DPR also approved the formation of the Ministry of Investment.
PDIP senior politician Hendrawan Supratikno said the reshuffle was almost certain to be carried out. This follows a change in the chairmanship at the ministerial level in the cabinet.
“The consequences are (reshuffle). We’ll just wait,” said Hendrawan via text message to CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (9/4).
Even so, he admits that he doesn’t know when the reshuffle will be held. Hendrawan also did not know whether President Jokowi had gathered the chairmen of the coalition political parties to talk about the reshuffle.
The same thing was conveyed by senior politician from the NasDem Party, Irma Suryani Chaniago. Irma is of the opinion that the reshuffle must be carried out after the reshuffle of the current cabinet structure.
“If there is a merger of ministries and there is a new ministry position, it is certain that there will be a reshuffle, but whether the personnel were changed or changed positions is not known yet,” said Irma via text message to CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (9/4).
Irma said that usually Jokowi would talk with the general chairperson of the supporting party ahead of the reshuffle. For now, Irma admits that there has been no discussion from Jokowi about that.
CNNIndonesia.com try to ask for confirmation regarding the reshuffle plan to the Palace. Presidential Spokesperson Fadjroel Rachman and KSP Main Expert Ali Mochtar Ngabalin did not answer our requests for interviews.
Meanwhile, Minister for State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo Kumolo, did not confirm the truth of the reshuffle issue. Via a short message, the senior PDIP politician said he could not comment at this time.
Previously, the Indonesian Parliament approved the Presidential Letter Number R-14 / Pres / 03/2021 concerning Considerations for Changing Ministries. The decision was taken at the DPR RI Parliamentary Complex at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday (9/4).
The letter contains the government’s proposal to combine the Ministry of Education and Culture with the Ministry of Research and Technology. Apart from that, the government is also proposing the formation of the Ministry of Investment.
