Reported by Disk, the decision to reserve Ronaldo was made by coach Fernando Santos on Tuesday (6/12). Santos was not happy with Ronaldo’s angry behavior when he was taken off in the second half.
Santos’ decision to reserve Ronaldo has forced the former Manchester United player to be tolerant. The 37-year-old player can only see his teammates’ struggles from the bench.
Ramos and Felix in attack will have the support of Bruno Fernandes as attacking midfielder. The other three midfielders of the 4-3-1-2 formation were introduced by Otavio, William Carvalho and Bernardo Silva.
Changes also at right-back with Diogo Dalot on the pitch from the first minute. Dalot accompanies Pepe, Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerreiro.
Meanwhile, Switzerland relies on Breel Embolo as a spearhead. He will be supported by Xherdan Shaqiri as one of the creators in midfield.
In central defense two players who play in the Premier League, Manuel Akanji and Fabian Schar will strengthen goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
