Researchers from Amsterdam UMC and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) have discovered that the persistent fatigue in patients with long Covid – also known as post-Covid – has a physical cause. “We see changes in the muscles in these patients,” says professor of internal medicine Michèle van Vugt. “So the cause of the fatigue is really biological.”
