Solid silicone breast implants have been the norm since the late 1990s, as they are said to be safer than liquid gel silicone implants. But from new research by Henry Dijkman, from HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, it appears that the ‘safe’ solid silicones are just as harmful.
