Research shows that nuclear power stations emit the least CO2, should they still remain open?

New research from the United Nations shows that nuclear power plants emit the least CO2 of all energy producers. Coal and gas plants, for example, emit 55 and 26 times more CO2. But according to Jan Vande Putte, nuclear expert at Greenpeace, that should not be a plea for nuclear power plants. “Because this one good figure says nothing about, among other things, the colossal problem of nuclear waste storage.”
