Research: A third of employees are not satisfied with their current job

Almost a third or 31% of the employees admitted that they are not satisfied with their current job, according to the data of the survey conducted by the research company “Kantar”.

Among the respondents who admitted that they were not satisfied with their current job, 6% said they were “not at all satisfied”, and 25% “not very satisfied”.

However, the survey results show that two thirds or 67% of the employees surveyed are generally satisfied with their current job, including 13% who are even “very satisfied” and 54 % of respondents “somewhat satisfied”.

In general, managers, employees with an income higher than 1501 euros, as well as employees with a Latvian family are more satisfied with their work.

Also among those most satisfied in the survey are those who rate their workload as adequate, as well as employees who work in “remote work” mode, including those who gives a positive description of their current life in general.

On the other hand, somewhat lower job satisfaction is typical for workers with an income between 600 and 1,000 euros per month, as well as those who work 41 or more hours a week and ‘ describes the current workload as too high. Also, the survey concluded that overall employee satisfaction with their current job decreased from 74% in February to 67% in September.

The survey also concluded that those working in Latvia are somewhat more satisfied with their current job than with life. Accordingly, 67% said they are satisfied with work and 63% with life, and the big differences are just in the proportion of “very satisfied”. Although 13% of respondents are very satisfied with their work, only 7% of respondents are very satisfied with life.

On the other hand, 31% of respondents are generally dissatisfied with their work and a slightly higher proportion, or 34% of respondents, are dissatisfied with life.
