JAKARTA – During the current Covid-19 pandemic, people pay more attention to their personal health and safety, and dating is no exception.

People globally have generally become more concerned with face-to-face meetings since the start of the pandemic.

In fact, the number of people who ultimately decide not to meet their online date in person has more than doubled, from 16% to 35%.

David Jacoby, Security Researcher at Kaspersky, said the demand to know a date’s vaccination status was a clear impact of the pandemic.

“Meeting online dating in person seems to cause greater anxiety,” he said in a statement, Saturday (10/7)

In addition, 52% of users from Asia Pacific feel nervous and 12% are insecure when meeting an online date in person for the first time.
