Shortly after entering the Winterthur-Töss motorway, according to initial findings, he skidded, collided with the guardrail on the right and came to a standstill on the roadway. A few minutes later, a 39-year-old lost control of his vehicle and spun down the freeway. He crashed into a man who, presumably, had stopped as a helper on the breakdown lane and left his car. The force of the impact threw the 30-year-old man over the guardrail onto Zürcherstrasse, where he was run over by an unknown passenger car. After medical first aid was provided by the emergency services, the man was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his serious injuries.
