Rescue teams from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Turkey are participating in the operation organized by Ankara. They divided the cave into several sections, with each country’s rescue team in charge of one. The Hungarian Cave Rescue Service, made up of volunteer rescuers, arrived first on the scene and provided the American with first aid, including a blood transfusion.
