DOMBURG – A pilot boat got into trouble off the coast of Domburg on Friday afternoon. Several KNRM lifeboats were deployed.
The Coast Guard received a report around 2 p.m. that the pilot boat was having engine problems. The lifeboats from Westkapelle, Breskens and Neeltje Jans were immediately sent to the scene. It turned out on the spot that the boat could no longer sail further on its own.
The pilot boat will be towed to Vlissingen with the help of a Multraship tugboat. When asked, a Coast Guard employee stated that it was not necessary to evacuate the four people on board.
