From now on, uniformed police officers patrolling mopeds will always wear reflective vests, reports Dagens Nyheter. The demand is introduced after the high-profile murder of police officer Andreas Danman, who was shot dead in Biskopsgården in Gothenburg on 30 June.
The issue of reflective vests has played a central role after the murder. During the trial against the 17-year-old, who on Friday was sentenced to eight years in prison for the act, it was clear that the district court did not find any motive that was about killing police officers.
