In the run-up to Christmas, take a moment to reflect on what affects us so deeply in the world around us – Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, Israel, but also in our own country. Music in Koepelkerk Sappemeer helps with this.
Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, performed by Capella Frisiae and The Roden Girl Choristers, will be performed on November 25 in Koepelkerk Sappemeer.
In addition to this beloved Requiem, a new work by the Frisian composer Hoite Pruiksma will be heard: ‘I stood with the dead’, which he wrote in response to the war in Ukraine. It promises to be a beautiful evening in the Koepelkerk of Sappemeer.
Invitation to refugees
Because Central Groningen offers shelter to refugees, the organization will invite them to attend this memorial concert.
