Microsoft released the hammer earlier this year and announced that they are buying Activision Blizzard (although the purchase is not completely clear at the time of writing). Activision Blizzard has since announced that for the first time in a very long time, nothing new will be released Call of Duty next year. If we are to believe the insider RalphsValve, he says that Activision’s future plans are that instead of releasing a new Call of Duty every year, they will supplement with remasters of old games from the series.
