Republican Senator Lindsey Graham warned that if the US stops military aid to Ukraine, the consequences will be 10 times worse than the withdrawal of the US army from Afghanistan.
Graham lashed out at US presidential candidate Donald Trump, who claimed that if re-elected, he would end Washington’s support for Kiev.

Graham compared the situation to the US decision to withdraw its military contingent from Afghanistan, stressing that blocking aid to Ukraine would be comparable to a similar mistake, but on a much larger scale.
The senator said this on Face the Nation. At the same time, Graham noted that turning its back on Ukraine would be “ten times worse” if the consequences of the two decisions were compared. According to him, “stopping financial aid to Ukraine will be a death sentence for Taiwan.” As is known, China is closely monitoring the war in Ukraine to see what international support will be for the victim.
Graham concluded that the United States needs a strong Ukraine, so Congress should approve the $24.1 billion in military aid that US leader Joe Biden previously requested for Kiev.
