Republican leader criticizes California’s high unemployment | Forward Valley

SACRAMENTO – The Republican Party criticized that California ranks first in terms of the highest unemployment rate in the country.

In a statement, the State Committee noted that this is the third consecutive month that California has held this unenviable title, according to new data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

California’s labor earnings in November slowed to their weakest performance since January.

On top of that, California ranks 41st among states to recover jobs lost during the pandemic.

California’s economy is struggling and Democrats are to blame, the Republican Committee said.

“They have made things difficult for companies and workers during the pandemic, from implementing the toughest closures in the country to forcing companies to be the masked police. Almost 20,000 companies closed their doors permanently last year.

“Those companies trying to stay upright are now facing an increase in crime and armed robbery, further hurting retailers in what should be the holiday shopping season,” the party added.

Californians who are simply trying to make a living in an unstable economy face a volatile job market, 40-year-high inflation, sky-high gas prices, and historic housing costs.

It is not difficult to understand why so many are moving that this year we lost a seat in Congress.

“California has mastered how to be number one on all the wrong lists, thanks to the California Democrats. In what should be a joyous holiday season, many Californians wonder if they will find work, if they will be able to keep the doors open and criminals out of their businesses, or if they will have to decide between buying food or gas.

“Democratic mismanagement has left our economy in shambles, and Gavin Newsom, still the worst governor in state history, is more about public relations than job creation. Fortunately, the midterm elections are approaching and voters will elect new leaders in Washington and Sacramento to get our state back on track, ”said California Republican Leader Jessica Millan Patterson.
