Sugar Loaf, Seat and Gávea
We have been responsible for the valuation campaign of Block BM-C-33, in the Campos basin. As operators, we made the discoveries of Sugarloaf, Seat and Gávea. This is one of the most promising areas for the production of gas in the Brazilian pre-salt, the recoverable volumes are higher than 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent. This is an area considered challenging, as the deposits are located at a depth of 3,000 meters. The project is in the development and evaluation phase, where the study of the field is deepened. Today the asset is operated by Equinor (35%) and its partners are Repsol Sinopec (35%) and Petrobras (30%).
Sapinhoá and Lapa
We are part of the consortium that has the rights to block BM-S-9, where the Sapinhoá and Lapa fields are located, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin. Exploratory activities in the BM-S-9 Block area began in the 1970s and production began in 2013 at Sapinhoá. The asset produces through two Stationary Production Units, the São Paulo City FPSO and the Ilhabela City FPSO. Currently, Sapinhoá is the third largest oil and gas producing field in Brazil and the FPSO Ciudad de Ilhabela is the third facility with the highest oil production, according to data from the ANP. The Sapinhoá consortium is operated by Petrobras (45%), and its partners are Repsol Sinopec (25%) and Shell (30%). The Lapa asset came into production more recently, in December 2016 and today it is the ninth Brazilian pre-salt field that produces the most oil and gas. The FPSO Ciudad de Caraguatatuba is the active production unit in the field and has a processing capacity of 100 thousand boe / day. Total (35%), the operating company of the asset, has the company Repsol Sinopec (25%), Shell (30%) and Petrobras (10%).
Albacore Leste
Albacora This was Repsol Sinopec’s first field in Brazil. The initial production of the field began in June 1998, we have been part of the consortium since 2000 and currently invest in new technologies to maximize the recovery factor of the field, always prioritizing safety and sustainability. Located in the Campos basin, the asset is operated by Petrobras (90%) and Repsol Sinopec owns the other 10%.
Sagittarius
Located in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin, the Sagitario discovery is in the exploration / evaluation phase and is already considered one of Repsol’s most important futures assets worldwide. We participate in the consortium with Petrobras (operator – 60%) and Shell (20%).
