Sheikh Muhammad Khashaba, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Alexandria, said that the Friday sermon talked about the issue of reproductive health and birth control, within the framework of the Ministry’s educational and awareness role on community issues, stressing that birth control in our current reality is a legitimate necessity, and that it goes deep into the concept of adopting legitimate reasons.
Khashaba called on all imams to adhere to the sermon in text and subject matter, and that the time of the two sermons should not exceed 10 minutes, given the current conditions to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
Khashaba pointed out that the Ministry of Endowments will launch an awareness campaign through a number of joint seminars with the National Media Authority and the National Press Authority, and a number of intensive training courses throughout the current year.
