Representative Tony Franjieh meets with National Campaign Coordinator for the Return of Displaced Syrians to their Country in Beirut

Representative Tony Franjieh received in his office in Beirut the general coordinator of the national campaign to return displaced Syrians to their country, Captain Maroun Al-Khouli, accompanied by members of the campaign, former Brigadier General Mohamed Sabiti, lawyer Pierre Gemayel, Dr. Ali Baydoun, and Captains Farid Zaitoun, Paul Zenoun and Habib Hourani.

During the meeting, the proposal for a law regulating the residence of displaced Syrians submitted to the General Assembly of the House of Representatives was discussed, which may constitute a road map for returning displaced Syrians to their homes and organizing Syrian workers in Lebanon.

Franjieh expressed his readiness “to support the aforementioned law proposal after studying it, given the necessity of addressing the issue of displaced Syrians in Lebanon, which has become an imminent threat to economic life and to the Lebanese identity, which must be preserved.”
