Eighteen-year-old Adam Hložek reappeared among the winners for the calendar year 2020. The offensive player of the Prague Sparta already received the award for the best older teenager last year. The year before, he had become the best younger teenager again.

Hložek had a successful year, in September he even made his debut in the national A-team, in the League of Nations match in Slovakia he started in the basic line-up, helped to win 3: 1 and became the youngest Czech national team in history.

Adam Hložek can become the youngest player to play for the national team. What does he say about this milestone?

“I’m glad I defended. The award means a lot to me. I know it’s not just my credit, but also the whole team, both in Sparta or in the rep, and all the coaches I have trusted. Although a year he wasn’t completely good, he was covid and injured, I think a lot happened, “he points out in a video interview for the Hložek association.

“Adam actually proves every year what talent Czech football has in him. I wish him good health and I believe that the national team will of course benefit from his potential in the future, “said Martin Malík, chairman of the FACR.

In the category of older teenagers, his club teammate Adam Karabec placed behind Hložek, and Jakub Drozd from Baník Ostrava can look forward to third place.

The younger teenagers are dominated by a legionnaire

The junior category was dominated by 16-year-old midfielder Grygar, who transferred from Baník Ostrava to Inter Milan in September. Among women, Aneta Pochmanová from Sparta won the Talent of the Year award. The coach of the year in the women’s category was the national team coach Karel Rada, who defended the championship. Under his leadership, the national team holds second place in the EURO 2022 qualifying group, but is still waiting for the completed February duel Polek in Spain.

Tomáš Neumann followed last year’s victory among futsal coaches. The national team coach led the national team to the world championships and won the poll for the thirteenth time. Michal Seidler from Pilsen became the best futsalist for the seventh time.

Ondřej Soběslav won the fair play award. Kolín’s defender massaged the heart of referee Luboš Vala at the half of the preparatory match for 15 minutes and thus saved his life.
