Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The home of Bayern Munich player Thomas Muller was robbed during match “Bayern” and his Spanish counterpart Barcelona on Tuesday in the 2023/2022 Champions League, according to German reports of printing.
The German newspaper “Bild” reported that thieves broke into Muller’s home in the town of Utterving, south of Munich, 40 kilometers from the “Allianz Arena”, the stronghold of Bayern Munich.
The newspaper added that the thieves stole jewelry and valuables, worth € 500,000, and managed to escape before the police arrived home.
This incident is not the first of its kind, as soccer players have previously been subjected to similar robberies, such as Polish Robert Lewandowski and Gabonese Pierre Aubameyang, robbed in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Thomas Muller mainly participated in the match of Bayern Munich and Barcelona, which ended with the Bavarian victory with two clear goals, in the second round of the Champions League.
