The former Mainz and Dortmund Bundesliga coach will reportedly be strategically responsible for the international network of all Red Bull football clubs at the Austrian company. These include RB Leipzig, Salzburg, the New York Red Bulls, Bragantino (Brazil) and Omiya Ardija (Japan).

Red Bull has also acquired shares in the English club Leeds United. Klopp should help to further develop RB’s playing philosophy and bring in his expertise and network in scouting and in the selection of coaches and talent.

Klopp had only received the Order of Merit of the state of Baden-Württemberg on Tuesday for his social commitment outside of sport and his work against racism. It was the second honor within just a week, after he had already received the Federal Cross of Merit from Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
