The police in Suriname received a report on Saturday that three of the escaped detainees were detained in the interior (Nassau area) by the residents. It is learned that these are Ronald Soke, Niquel Jonel and Servan Read.
The police have meanwhile left for the area to check whether it is actually the escaped men. If it concerns these men, they will be transferred to the Keizerstraat detention center.
Thirteen detainees had fled from the Keizerstraat detention center. Navendra Nagesar, was arrested in Zoelen earlier this week and transferred to the Keizerstraat detention center. Furthermore, Arsenio Vrij, Jonaton Kameron and Vince Bahadoer have already been arrested.
These detainees were previously locked up in the Nieuwe Haven cell house where they became infected with COVID-19. They were then transferred to the Keizerstraat detention center.
