REPORT – The Tremblays celebrate the 375th anniversary of the arrival in Quebec of their ancestor

In North America, at least 180,000 people bear this name, including 80,000 in Quebec alone.

On Saturday August 6, around forty of them gathered in Baie-Saint-Paul, around the Tremblay-Achon memorial, near the Carrefour Culturel Paul-Médéric.

A new bronze plaque was unveiled there by the Association des Tremblay d’Amérique (ATA). It commemorates the 375th anniversary of the arrival of Pierre Tremblay in Quebec. This Frenchman, originally from Perche in Normandy, is the only ancestor of all the Tremblays in North America.
