According to., Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa did not go crazy for Tottenham Hotspur’s interest, despite supporting them.
Athletic claimed in February that Spurs had joined Liverpool in the race to sign Konsa, having been impressed with his performances for Villa this season.
It seemed to be a dream move for Konsa as he actually grew up supporting Tottenham and admitted it to Four Four Two in May 2018.

That may have seemed concerning to Villa’s fans, as they wouldn’t have wanted to lose Konsa after having formed such a strong association with Tyrone Mings this period.
Konsa has allayed those fears now, although he did sign a new deal with Villa until 2026, effectively killing hope for a Tottenham deal any time soon.
Now it is suggested that Konsa did not let the rumors get into his head and did not let his focus fade even though his favorite club wanted to sign him, and he has shown his loyalty to Villa by signing that new deal.

The 23-year-old will now have real hope of moving towards a cap with England; in fact, it’s quite outrageous that a defender who can’t kick Spurs, Eric Dier, is on the team ahead of Konsa right now.
Konsa might end up at Spurs one day, but it’s clear he wasn’t interested at the moment, and Villa will be happy and relieved to hear it.
