JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Trade opens a hotline to accommodate reports from the public if it finds companies or retail outlets that sell cooking oil above IDR 14,000 per liter.
The hotline is open 24/7 which can be accessed by all parties via WhatsApp instant message 081212359337, email hotlinemigor@Ministry of Trade.go.id, or Zoom video conferencing with ID 969 0729 1086 (password: migor).
“We are ready to assist all parties for the smooth implementation of the one-price packaged cooking oil policy. Please, if you experience problems or want to submit a complaint, you can directly contact the hotline that we provide,” said Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi in his statement, Thursday (20/1/2022).
Trade Minister Lutfi said that the government, in this case the Ministry of Trade, would not hesitate to impose sanctions on producers or cooking oil companies selling above Rp 14,000 per liter.
“Producers who do not comply with the provisions will be subject to sanctions in the form of freezing or revocation of permits. We remind the government to take very firm steps,” said Trade Minister Lutfi.

In fact, Lutfi asserted, all parties who commit fraud or irregularities will be brought to the realm of law.
“We remind anyone who commits fraud or does anything against the law, the Indonesian government will proceed to the legal process,” said Lutfi.
