Report from the match Chrobry Głogów – Wisła Kraków

If every match of Wisła Kraków this season started in this way, its fans would have much less damaged nervous systems. The Krakow team set the match in the first seven minutes, and Angel Rodado again turned out to be a player worth his weight in gold.

Already in the fourth minute, the Spaniard received a pass from Angel Baena, his shot from a few meters bounced off one of the opponents and completely confused the Chrobry goalkeeper. Dawid Arndt had little more to say three minutes later when Łukasz Zwoliński delivered a precise cross to Rodado’s head and the score was 2-0. It was the 12th goal of the season for the Spaniard and thanks to this he has two goals more than the second in the classification Karol Czubak from Arka Gdynia.

Wisła quickly positioned itself in a comfortable position, and its opponents did little to disturb its ability to play the ball calmly. It is true that the Krakow team retreated and started waiting for the hosts to move, but Chrobry couldn’t do much. Despite this, Piotr Plewnia’s players had a chance to score a goal, but Mateusz Lewandowski’s sliding shot hit the post.

Wisła Kraków advanced to the play-off zone

A moment after the start of the second half, Wisła could have deprived their rivals of all hopes because Łukasz Zwoliński shot brilliantly from outside the penalty area, but the ball hit the crossbar. A quarter of an hour later, the visiting striker had an even better opportunity, but he failed to take advantage of a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.

In a moment, Alfaro had a chance to score the goal of the month, or maybe even the round, but he was wrong by centimeters. Wisła’s midfielder shot from outside the penalty area and hit the junction of the post and crossbar perfectly. Giannis Kiakos was more precise, increasing the score to 3-0 with a close-range shot.

Thanks to the victory, Wisła finally joined the teams that are in the play-off zone, and the Krakow team still has one match left (against the runner-up, Miedź Legnica). In turn, Chrobry is in 16th place, first in the relegation zone.
