Tottenham players are reportedly unhappy with the behavior of Fabio Paratici and Steve Hitchen on the bench during their home games this season.
Sports director Paratici and Hitchen, who is Spurs’ director of technical performance, were on the bench during Tottenham’s preseason game with Arsenal and the two Premier League home wins over champions Manchester City and Watford.
The Sun report says that Tottenham the players were upset with the transfer managers for “standing up to yell at the referees.”
The men of Nuno Espirito Santo also feel unable to “speak freely with each other” in the presence of the couple.
A source close to the Tottenham team told The Sun: “It just doesn’t suit the players.
“The substitutes on the bench don’t feel like they can talk freely to each other with those guys sitting next to them.
“The players as a whole don’t like it when the two of them are standing yelling at the referees or the team.”
However, Paratici and Hitchen will continue to sit on the team bench until at least October.
Due to pandemic protocols in the Premier League, all players and staff in the ‘red zone’ testing group must sit together in designated areas.
Therefore, both Paratici and Hitchen will remain on the bench until the restrictions are changed.

Tottenham have Kessie’s plan in place
Meanwhile, AC Milan are increasingly concerned that they may lose Franck Kessie in a free transfer next summer following news that the midfielder has rejected his latest offer for a new contract.
The Serie A giants have already been stung this summer. They lost both Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma in free transfers. The pair, both considered highly salable assets, moved on as a free agent after failing to agree to extensions.
And just a year after its settlement at San Siro, fears are mounting that Kessie You could also go free of charge.
Obviously, that’s a scenario Milan are desperate to avoid. As such, talks on a new deal have been ongoing for some time.
In fact, sensing an opportunity, The Spurs are among several teams keeping a close eye on developments.
And those hopes appear to have risen amid news from Italy that Kessie has rejected Milan’s latest proposal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ivorian midfielder has rejected a new deal worth € 6.5 million per season. Additionally, there is a growing sense of pessimism that Kessie will instead seek to leave for free.
Eager to avoid that scenario, Tottenham boss Fabio Paratici is ready to play an ace card. The Italian has reportedly already surveyed Milan on a possible reduced price deal in January.
While they would be free to sign him to a pre-contract starting January 1, Spurs are said to be looking to appease Milan by paying a small fee for the midfielder now.
And while it could still cost them around £ 10 million, Paratici is of the opinion that by offering a fee now, it would improve their chances of closing a deal.
