CULIACÁN, Sin., October 29, 2022.- The delegate of federal welfare programs in Sinaloa Omar López Campos announced that the state has a significant delay in the application of second doses of pediatric vaccines against Covid-19.
According to the official, while the application of the first doses of this vaccine has already reached 100 percent of the record, in the application of the second dose not even 50 percent could be vaccinated.
López Campos also reported that this is one of the reasons why it was decided to move vaccination days to schools, as there has been a significant drop in the influx of vaccination modules since returning to class.
“We’ve vaccinated about 40,000 second doses, we’ve covered the first dose, and we don’t even have half of the second,” he said.
The delegate also pointed out that children between five and eleven will only be given two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, so there is very little to finish these vaccination days.
