In total, the pandemic has carried 251,790 cases and 3,497 deaths since March 2020.
42% of people over 65 are already fully immunized according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the report indicates.
The average every seven days is 157 cases, with a contagion rate of 6.0 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate is 7.8%, that is to say, very high.
Dallas has been on an orange contagion risk alert for a week.
The report on Monday does not include data on hospitalizations.
“Today’s numbers represent two-day cases, Judge Clay Jenkins explained through the report.
“Today is also the first day that anyone over 16 can access the vaccine,” said Jenkins who urged citizens to register to receive the inoculation.
Measures like the use of a mask in public places, social distance of six feet and constant hand washing are still recommended by the county.
