Isa Rachmatarwata is now Sri Mulyani Indrawati’s version of the ‘richest person’ in Indonesia. The richest man in the country fell to Rionald Silaban. He is the Director General of State Assets at the Ministry of Finance.
As of March 12, 2021, Sri Mulyani officially appointed Rionald Silaban to replace Isa Rachmatarwata, who is currently trusted as Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance.
“To the Director General of State Assets, I thank Pak Isa and he is already well known as the richest person in Indonesia,” said Sri Mulyani broadcast on YouTube, the Ministry of Finance, Friday (12/3/2021).
Rionald Silaban was also appointed by Sri Mulyani as Director General of State Assets who previously served as Head of BPPK at the Ministry of Finance. That way, Sri Mulyani’s version of the title of the richest person in Indonesia changed to Rionald Silaban.
“Today Mr. Rio had to change his status as the richest man in Indonesia,” he said.
Rionald Silaban is Sri Mulyani’s version of the richest person in Indonesia because the Director General of State Assets manages central government assets of around Rp.10,467.53 trillion. Consisting of current assets of IDR 491.86 trillion, long-term investments of IDR 3,001.2 trillion, fixed assets of IDR 5,949.59 trillion, long-term receivables (net) of IDR 56.88 trillion, and other assets of IDR 967.98 trillion. This was recorded in the 2019 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP).
Meanwhile, according to Forbes Magazine, the richest people in Indonesia are the brothers, the boss of Djarum, Rudi Hartono and Michael Hartono.
