Repeat concert by Femmes Vocales and children with music from the film “The Children of Monsieur Mathieu”
At the end of May 2024, Femmes Vocales Isernhagen thrilled more than 300 spectators in the sold-out Isernhagenhof with a children’s group founded especially for this concert under the direction of Anne Drechsel. Due to the overwhelming response from the audience, the choir will repeat the concert on September 28, 2024 in the Bothfeld St. Nicolai Church.
“That was the most beautiful concert I have heard in a long time” and “Thank you for this evening – you gave me great pleasure”: These are two of the many positive comments given to the choir members after the event. Above all, the alternation between the short texts and the pieces of music performed with great intensity created an atmosphere that touched the hearts of everyone present.
The audience in Bothfeld can once again look forward to a special concert. The music and theme from the film “The Children of Monsieur Mathieu” run like a common thread through the musical evening. The lyrical texts introduce the pieces, which are mostly sung in French: about the tender souls of newborns, the hope for a better future for forgotten children and the ever-recurring longing for freedom and lightness.
Markus Matschkowski accompanies the women’s choir and the children’s group on the master keyboard. The visitors to this concert will enjoy the evening with the confidence that music can give you wings.
The concert will take place on September 28, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the St. Nicola Church, Sutelstrasse 20. Advance sales (15 euros) have already begun in the Böhnert Bothfeld, Isernhagen and Großburgwedel bookstores. Tickets will also be available at the box office on the evening.
