Repaired satellite outside solar system 18 billion kilometers away NOW

At 18 billion kilometers, the US space agency NASA got the equipment of the Voyager 2 satellite up and running again, according to the organization. The measuring equipment of the probe fell out last week because the emergency systems came on.

At the end of January, NASA reported that Voyager 2 no longer sent any data to Earth. Due to an as yet unknown failure in the satellite system, an emergency system hit Voyager. This system turned off the measuring equipment of the probe.

After this, missionaries had to try to get a device working that is no longer in the solar system.

At a distance of 18.5 billion kilometers, sending a signal takes around 17 hours, so it takes 34 hours to see if a certain action is causing the requested effect.

We have now succeeded in getting the measuring instruments up and running and communication from and to Voyager 2 is doing well. Now NASA has to confirm whether all instruments are still in good condition after the problems.

Voyager has a golden LP with ‘sounds of earth’

In October December 2018, Voyager 2 became one of the few human-built objects that left the solar system. It was launched in August 1977 and has been flying through the universe at over 55,000 kilometers per hour since then. The satellite’s partner, Voyager 1, was launched a week later.

The Voyager twins have a golden LP with ‘sounds of the earth’, as well as a music selection and a description of the human being. If aliens find the Voyagers, there are also codes on the plates about how the earth can be found.
