Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Continues to Mislead on the Effects of Progressive Policies

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Bx./Qns.) can’t stop lying about the effects of her beloved progressive policies.

It now descends to circulating conspiracy theories claiming that inflation is nothing more than “propaganda”, a smokescreen for greedy shareholders of big companies. (This echoes an old Biden admin talking point, so absurd that even the prez and his flacks abandoned it.)

Keep in mind that thanks to President Biden’s ruinous economic policies, cumulative inflation has increased by 15% since he took office, with the figure for food, mortgage, utilities and other essentials being closer to 25%.

AOC voters in the Bronx and Queens are – unsurprisingly – not buying a single word.

“Is AOC crazy?” asked Latisha Law of the Bronx. “Has she been to a grocery store recently?” »

“Before, I could buy twice as much food for the same price as I paid today,” said Sergio Acevedo, another embattled Bronx resident.

The median household income in the Bronx is about $44,000; AOC’s work at the House brings in a juicy $174,000.

In other words, she is much more insulated from price shocks than those who put her in power.

This is probably why she is among the most ardent supporters of the endless federal spending that has fueled our current inflationary conflagration.

His main problem with Biden’s economic policy is that he isn’t spending enough on wacky green projects and various other social justice causes.

But remember: This is the same lawmaker who wore a TAX THE RICH dress to the Met Gala that she probably illegally accepted tickets to, then stiffed her dress designer and stylist.

So it’s no surprise that she’s completely out of touch with her own voters.

In fact, she is SO disconnected from the people she depends on, when the Post asked voters about her, most didn’t know who she was.

It’s the classic prog attitude: Unless the problem hurts me, or confirms my prejudices, anyone who claims to suffer from it is either fooled or lying..

“AOC should not be in Congress,” said Jean Torres, another Bronxite. “She doesn’t help us, she hurts us with her rhetoric and her politics.”

It’s certain. And it seems more and more voters are getting the message.
