“It’s time to lower the temperature,” called Romney, one of the few Republicans who dared to criticize Trump after the 2016 election.
The Senate of Utah criticized Trump, as well as his left-wing opponents, for changing the nature of politics “from a heated debate to a frightening, offensive, hateful swamp unworthy of any free state, let alone the birthplace of modern democracy.”
Romney criticized Trump for calling Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamal Harris a “monster” and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a “crazy”.
Although Romney criticized the Democrats’ “angry attacks”, he said the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden had not “landed as low as others”.
Commenting on a recent attempt to capture Michigan state governor Democrats Greten Whitmer, who has often been the target of Trump’s attacks, Romney warned that “crazy attacks are blocking conspiracy spinners and haters.”
“The world looks at America with real horror. Many Americans are afraid of our country – divided, angry, evil, violent. Increased anger leads to a very bad place. No reasonable person can want that,” Romney said.
