The direct airline Prague-New York reopens at Václav Havel Airport. It is operated by Delta Airlines seven times a week with Boeing 767-300s under the summer flying schedule. Due to the pandemic, direct connections with the United States had been suspended. According to spokeswoman Klara Divíšková, Prague airport is currently negotiating an extension of the direct connection to New York throughout the year. The Prague-New York flight is to date the only direct connection between Václav Havel airport and the United States.
Before the pandemic, more than 70,000 passengers flew between Prague and New York each year. In 2019, Václav Havel Airport welcomed more than 120,000 people to New York.
