Renzi brings together 300 young people in Gaeta and brings the PD to the fore: a signal to the wider world

Over 300 kids under 35 in Gaeta for three days of lessons. All at school of politics from Matteo Renzi with the fifth edition of the Italia viva initiative to which several members of the Democratic Party were invited, from Matteo Orfini a Marianna Madia.

The event (which started on Friday and runs throughout the weekend) is marked by morning runs, football matches and political meetings. The signal that the former prime minister sends is his determination to ally himself with the Democratic Party in the broad camp (or centre-left, whatever you prefer). “How many times do I hear Schlein? What is necessary to have a political relationship between people who have a plan. You say I want an alliance without vetoes, we say let’s get around a table and talk”, explained Renzi. Without sparing any barbs at Giuseppe Conte which, according to the leader of IV, “He’s mad at Schlein, not me. For him, any candidacy for Prime Minister who is not himself is lèse majesté”. In other words, for Renzi Conte but not being able to attack Schlein attacks him: “Conte is not bad, he is a business lawyer devoted to politics. I don’t know how much understands business, but doesn’t understand much about politics.”
