Dresden/Leipzig – Also in the 2nd quarter of this year the rental prices climbed due to a lack of new buildings and higher interest rates. Like the current “immowelt rental compass” shows that asking rents for existing apartments have increased compared to the previous quarter in 10 of the 14 largest German cities.

According to this, only Düsseldorf (-0.3 percent), Stuttgart (-0.9 percent), Berlin (-1.3 percent) and Leipzig (-0.8 percent) recorded a decline. This means that the largest city in Saxony currently has an average square meter price of 7.40 euros.
In contrast, tenants in Dresden have to dig deeper into their pockets with an average price of 7.90 euros per square meter. Here, rents increased by 1.0 percent.
This means that the Saxon state capital is roughly on a par with Dortmund, where 7.80 euros are being asked for a square meter.

Living in Hanover (8.90 euros), Nuremberg (10.20 euros), Hamburg (11.30 euros) and Frankfurt (13 euros) is more expensive.
Munich defended the negative top record with 17.60 euros per square meter.
