In Paris, with some exceptions, Parisian landlords are restricted by a reference rent defined according to the characteristics of the accommodation to be rented. However, the Paris metropolitan area rent observatory notes a real effect, but less significant than expected, of the capping of rents in Paris in 2022. Olap estimates that “for more than a quarter of leases recently signed, the maximum legal is outdated.”
Generalization of rent caps in large cities

If the capital was a pioneer in the introduction of rent caps, it is no longer the only one.
