Screenwriter and director Michal Najbrt died, he was 78 years old, he announced today on social media the X network Czech Television, with which he worked. Najbrt worked, for example, on the documentary series Osudové moments, wrote the script for the comedy Konto separato and more than a dozen episodes from the series Bachelors. The last film he directed was a documentary about an Ostrava television studio seven years ago.
A native of Kolín, Najbrt also directed, for example, the documentary Report from the Black Hole about the coal history of Ostrava. He was the screenwriter and director of the documentary film Marquis Gero – the fear of the Silesian people, which deals with the personality of Archduke Bedrich Habsburg.
