One of the most famous Russian artists of our time, Ilya Kabakov, has died at the age of 90. This was reported on the page of his foundation in social networks on May 27.

The family will hold a private funeral, followed by a public memorial service a few weeks later,” the page reads.
A few days ago, he was in the company of the Tsukanov family of collectors, a photo from this meeting was published on the network.
His installations hang in the Hermitage headquarters and in the Tretyakov Gallery, he had exhibitions in many of the most important galleries in the world. Kabakov’s works were sold for several million dollars, sales were a record for a contemporary artist of Russian origin.
