“Renowned pianist Polina Osetinska: Bio, Concerts & Current Controversies”

Pianist Polina Osetinska represents a generation of musicians that also includes pianist Yevhenii Kisin, violinists Vadim Repin and Maksim Vengerov – all of whom were once considered prodigies. Polina Osetinska gave her first concert at the age of six at the Lithuanian Conservatory in Vilnius. Recently, due to the public position of the musician, her performances in the largest concert halls of Russia are canceled, while smaller cultural institutions are declared as mines before the concerts – with the intention that the audience will get scared and disperse.

The concert will feature works by Klara Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann and Sergei Prokofiev.
